L' immoralità -
Film synopsis: In L’immoralità Lisa Gastoni plays the part of a kept-woman: a beautiful, seductive, cynical, ruthless blonde imprisoned in a relationship with a rich man who has recently been paralyzed. Ready to manipulate any situation to her own advantage, this fascinating character tearfully admits to her daughter that she is unable to love and be a mother to her. Indeed, the most interesting moment of the film is when Simona witnesses her mother’s antics with the criminal and jealously opposes her behavior in a truly well-structured dialogue.
The anomalous “triangle” which is created is pivotal to the story as the rivalry – reminiscent of the rivalry between the characters of Di Leo’s Seduction – between the character interpreted by Lisa Gastoni and her daughter interpreted by Jenny Tamburi gradually increases. Apart from some problems with the script, L’immoralità is a classic narrative film which nevertheless convinces the audience right up until its shocking dramatic epilogue.
